PA-8453: still the same protocol?

So I've run into the same situation (and confusion) as other members: Before I submitted my PA tax return electronically, I was instructed by TurboTax to "Sign and date Form PA-8453 within 1 day of acceptance."  Reading the previous comments from two years ago, it sounds like I do NOT need to sign/send in the form, but rather just sign a copy and keep for my own records.  Does this still hold true for the 2023 tax year, or have things changed?  I would appreciate any insight, thank you!

PA-8453: still the same protocol?

Yes, that policy is still in effect.  You just need to sign the form and keep it with your tax return records.

According to the instructions after page 1 of Form PA-8453

Any taxpayer filing electronically from a home computer must keep the signed Form PA-8453 and supporting documents for three years after the due date of the return or the date the return was filed electronically, which-ever is later. Taxpayers must make the documents available to the PA Department of Revenue upon request. Do not mail Form PA-8453 and attachments to the PA Department of Revenue unless requested.
