massachusetts pensions worksheet

I am trying to e-file. My Mass. returns lists my pension amounts and asks what portions are tax-exempt. None of it is tax-exempt (as far as I know). I keep entering "0" but Turbo Tax won't complete the e-filing. I am at a loss as to what to do.

Can anyone help us??  Many thanks

It depends.

Go back to the Federal section of the program. 

1. Select Income & Expenses 
2. Select "IRA,401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) 
3. Select "Edit" under the appropriate 1099-R form 
4. Proceed to answer through the screens until you see "Select Your State".(You should see this after enter your details from the 1099-R, and the question asking if you are a public safety officer. 

Make sure you have selected Massachusetts here and answered the questions as applicable on the screens after this page.

Then go back into the state interview section and go through it again.  This should resolve your issue.
