The Wisconson Homestead Credit requires you to send in documentation to verify that you are eligible to receive it.
If you do qualify for a credit, you must submit a copy of your 2019 property tax bill (if you owned and occupied your home) or an original rent certificate signed by your landlord (if you rented your home) along with your Schedule H or H-EZ.
For further information please see this Wisconsin Department of revenue link: Claiming Homestead Credit
So the system doesn’t generate the schedule HEZ or H for you either? And if you don’t have the form saved online can you screen shot them on your phone, email them to yourself, save to the computer and upload that way?
The program is looking for a landlord certificate, which is necessary to receive this credit. That has to be entered either by a phone upload or you will need to manually enter it in Turbo Tax. Here is a 2019 rent certificate to present to your landlord. Click on the clickable link, print it out, and submit to your landlord so you can receive the WI Homestead Credit.
