Calculating Federal Estimated Tax Payments

I am stuck on how to figure out ”2019 estimated payments made during 2019” and ”2018 estimated payments made during 2019.”

I haven’t done my taxes on TurboTax for a couple of years and don’t remember this section. Thank you!

Calculating Federal Estimated Tax Payments

If you made estimated payments for your 2018 tax return, you need to enter the information into TurboTax.  The last estimated payment due for 2018, is due by January 15, 2019.

You would need to know the date and the amount of the estimated payments you made.

If you were making estimated payments for 2019 you want to enter the information into TurboTax under

  • Deductions & Credits
  • Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
  • Estimates
  •

By entering the information here it shows on your form 1040.

If you did not make any estimated payments, you can skip this section.
