PA STATE TAX

WHEN I COMPLETE MY STATE TAX, IT SHOWS I OWE $8.00; HOWEVER WHEN IT SHOWS THE SUMMARY IT INDICATES $0..  IS THIS A GLITCH IN THE PROGRAM?

Your tax owed may have been reduced to $0 because of PA-40 Schedule SP, Tax Forgiveness. This would be determined by your income.

NO.  It did not answer my problem.  I don't think I was clear on what the problem is.

AT the top of the screen it shows a balance due of $10.  When It showed the summary of Federal and State Tax it  showed $0.  When I printed out the forms it showed the $10.00 due.  Why did the summary show $0 for state tax.

The individual was not eligible for TAX Forgiveness.

Without seeing your screen, it is hard to tell why exactly you saw one number on the screen and another number on the forms.  Sometimes, the summary screen does not include everything on your return so it may have been missing that $10 item on the summary screen.
