I'm ready to file 2020, but TurboTax keeps telling me i need to resolve an issue with my Ohio state taxes.
It keeps asking me to "Check This Entry" on Form SD 100. The entry it is asking for is my school district number, which is 6705, Kent City School District. When I enter 6705 it then tells me,
"School District Number is not a taxing school district. Do not file this school district return (e-file or print). Please verify and re-enter the taxing school district number."
I know am prevented from filing (even after paying) until the entry is resolved, but obviously this form doesn't even need filed. I do work in another school district (Solon) which is also not a taxing school district.
How can I get around this to file?

The reason this error appears is because Kent is not a taxable district. Their income tax rate is 0.00% This means it does not need to be filed.
I used The Ohio School District Tax Finder and entered an address for the Kent City School District. It is listed at a 0% tax rate. I have attached a picture below.
To remove the school district tax return, please follow these steps:
Thanks Lena,
That was my point, Kent isn't a taxable district, but it was continuously directing me to the form.
Thank you for the tip on deleting a form. That is what I was searching for.
TurboTax (TT) does not automatically prepare a School District return, you probably accidently initiated it.
Go back to the screen, in the Ohio program, titled "A few things before we wrap up your state taxes" -scroll down to School District taxes.
Or later at the screen "Your 2020 Ohio Taxes are ready for us to check"
-Click Other situations
-Scroll down to School District taxes.
Click edit, follow the interview and You should reach a screen that gives you the choice to include or exclude the SD return. Click exclude.
no highlighted errors. Just a scrolling copy of Ohio 2022 schedule of school district withholding That has numbered boxes correctly filled in, and is not interactive,
You are commenting on an old thread. Are you having issues filing this form in the current year tax return? @dbportman
