My software was updated for Federal deadline change from April 15th to May 17th however the New York deadline did not change.  why?

The New York software may not be up-to-date yet. New York has extended the due date for New York State personal income tax returns originally due on April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021.

Given that TT only updated the Federal software to reflect the Unemployment Exclusion on Friday for CD/Download customers, I anticipate that it will be several days at a minimum before the NY module will be updated.

My suggestion would be to e-file the Federal return and wait until the NY upgrade comes in.
