Nj unemployment is not taxed by state, you have it that way

completed federal, no problem, but program doesn't allow to to change income.  nj unemployment is not included in state return

Please check your entries for your unemployment compensation in the federal return.

1. On the Enter your 1099-G info screen, make sure you have completely entered the information for the Payer and indicated that the state is NJ.  (See Screenshot #1, below.)
2. On the screen, What's the total amount you received on your 1099-G? be sure to select NJ from the drop down box.  (Screenshot #2)
3. On the next screen, Let's confirm the address listed on your 1099-G, enter the address shown on the 1099-G.  (Screenshot #3)

None of your NJ unemployment benefits should be included in your NJ taxable income.
