State tax filing
Please check your entries for your unemployment compensation in the federal return.
- On the Enter your 1099-G info screen, make sure you have completely entered the information for the Payer and indicated that the state is NJ. (See Screenshot #1, below.)
- On the screen, What's the total amount you received on your 1099-G? be sure to select NJ from the drop down box. (Screenshot #2)
- On the next screen, Let's confirm the address listed on your 1099-G, enter the address shown on the 1099-G. (Screenshot #3)
None of your NJ unemployment benefits should be included in your NJ taxable income.
