NJ State Adjustment Letter

I received a letter from NJ state stating that I owe taxes based on their adjusting my tax returns by adding the property taxes I paid in 2018.  I'm confused by this letter, because I paid the property to taxes to NJ, why they adjust my returns and show that I owe them? Please help.  I filed via Turbo Tax.  Thanks

Only NJ can answer that (they do not advise TT),  but here are the requirements:

    https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/proptaxdeduc_credit.shtml

Your best bet is to call the phone number listed on the letter from NJ for more details.
