New York State return Yonkers.

I live in Manhattan but work in Brooklyn and on my state return I list NYC as my local tax. That means I can work/live in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island etc. I would have to have type in YONKERS on line 20 to be ask a question as to if I work or live in YONKERS. Turbo tax isn't picking up line 20 showing NYC for some reason its asking me about YONKERS if I work there or live there. This seems to be a problem for so time and why isn't Turbo Tax fixing it in the New York State Tax return program, thanks

New York's tax return requires this question. There are two local taxes in NY State. One is NYC (where you live), and the other is Yonkers. The purpose of the question is to see if you live in either to calculate the correct local taxes. When it asks you if you were in Yonkers, you say no. You do not need to adjust your W-2, because it is reporting to NYC already.
