New York state credit

This year I am being told I owe $8000 to New York State - I live in NJ and work in New York and never paid NY tax in the past always got a small refund. Not sure what I am doing wrong

Review your W-2s and make sure you've entered the info from boxes 15-20 for your state withholdings.
