Need to split taxes between 2 states

I am working on the 2nd state return and it is not allowing me to call out that state's totals only, therefore, it's taxing me in both states for the same amounts.  When I click on the edit, it says to make changes on federal topic but the federal amount is correct, I need to split the income and expenses between the 2 states based off where we were living at the time of the transactions.

You should be able to allocate your income for each state.  TurboTax may allocate according to states shown on W-2s.

Be sure that you indicated you lived/worked in different states in the Personal Info section.

You can make entries manually in Forms mode.
