Hello,
I currently live and work in Arizona, my spouse lives and works in Maryland for more than a year now (before this we were both living in another state until the end of 2022). We are filing jointly this year on TurboTax, with Me as the Filer.
When we got to the Maryland State tax filing part, my Residency status was by default "Non-Resident" (There was no part where the software asked for my spouse' residency status). Is this the correct option? I notice when going by Non-Resident we both have a higher MD state tax refund. Does my spouse have to file any other MD State tax following this?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, that is the correct option for filing in MD with one spouse having a domicile in another state. Your MD return will be joint non-resident with your spouse's income allocated to MD; there is no other MD return needed. The forms created will be a 505 and 505NR.
Here is the MD reference. See the "Determine your filing status>Married persons" section.
