My Michigan homestead tax credit is not adding into my refund

I went through the questionnaire for my Michigan Homestead Tax Credit and it says my credit is $343.00. However, my refund at the top shows $312, which is what it said before I entered the info in for the homestead credit. It appears to not be adding in.

that is correct --- because the Homestead Credit  comes from a different  source  and is not refund of income tax withheld.  Ignore the refund meter at the top for MI
