Minnesota Credits

Under the Minnesota Credits section it asks you to select any of the following that apply. TurboTax automatically checked "Paid Minnesota alternative minimum tax in a prior year." and I cant uncheck it.  I can select None of the above but it doesn't matter since I cant uncheck the AMT box.

The Paid Minnesota alternative minimum tax question creates Form M1MTC. Delete this form to clear the check box.

• Click on Tax Tools on the left column,
• Click Tools,
• Click Delete a form in the center,
• Scroll down to the Minnesota return section
• Find Form M1MTC. Click Delete.

I tried to delete the form M1MTC and it made no difference to the software. I still could not de-select the option for prior year MN AMT. Normally I am very happy with turbo tax, this year I am a bit disappointed this and other small glitches / hang-ups in the software processing.

Please note that many of these are State related issues as most States have not yet finalized many of their forms and therefore this has created this issue. Please note that the IRS and MN are not accepting returns for processing until February 12th (and this is a hopeful date for MN but a hard date for the IRS). Therefore, please hang in there and try again closer to that date.
