Michigan qualified public safety pension deduction

Does TT plan to have this glitch fixed soon or at all?  If this glitch was fixed, I could have filed my taxes in February, but it still isn't fixed.

Also, how do you find the "forms" button in the Premier edition?  I do not see it to even be able to attempt to do the "work arounds" that are described in the original posting of this question.

Thank you in advance.

Michigan qualified public safety pension deduction

Here is what another user found to solve this issue. See if this works for you. If you are using the online version of TurboTax, you will not have a Forms button.

I was able to find a relatively simple work around.

Apparently the pension exemption works just fine for older folks as the new law has a tiered aged based enactment for the other categories (teacher, etc.).  So...

We changed my DOB to 1950.  The program then correctly recalculated to show the correct State return amount (about $2,100 higher in my case).  I then changed my DOB back to the correct year and the previous re-calculations remained.  Error checks worked and the return was submitted.

My return has been accepted by MI.
