Medical expenses by a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND)

I have a Naturopathic Doctor (has a ND degree, so not just a basic Naturopath provider), but she isn't a licensed MD. The IRS code seems to always say "physician," so I don't know if the treatment from the ND is valid for the medical exemption. The ND has me on various treatments for Lyme disease and it's quite costly and I meet the 7.5% deduction. Trying to determine if a ND qualifies as a physician in the IRS language.

Yes, you can deduct these expenses. The IRS says medical care expenses must be primarily to alleviate or prevent a physical or mental disability or illness. You are being treated for a medical condition.
