Maryland Filing Date

Why does my return keep saying "You cannot e-file this tax return because the Intuit Electronic Filing Center is not open for the season yet. We accept 2017 Maryland Personal tax returns starting 01-29-2018 06:00 AM. We'll see you then!"?  Maryland states they are accepting returns now.

You must e-file your Federal return and have it accepted before you can e-file your state return and the IRS is not accepting Federal returns for e-filing yet.

It is no longer possible to e-file state returns before the Federal return.

TurboTax is taking this measure to add an extra layer of security to all e-filed returns.
