Itemized Deductions Not getting transferred to State (MD)

Hi,

1. I selected Itemized Deductions for Federal
2. I click on the "MD Tax Due" button in the upper left to view the Tax Summary window
3. That window shows the correct amount on the "Itemized or standard deduction" line for Federal BUT a lower amount for MD
4. The amount for MD is not even the amount of the standard deduction -- it's lower 

I can find no way to correct this. I've gone back through Federal, reselected Itemized Deduction and proceeded through MD again - same thing.

I've seen some posts saying to delete MD and start over, but I don't see where to do that.

1. To delete your Maryland return and start over again, you can select State from the left-hand side menu, and then select the trashcan icon next to Maryland, see below:



2. You would then select State again from the side menu to start the MD return fresh from the beginning. 

Reminder that there are certain limitations to itemized deductions that are allowable for Maryland purposes, such as the deduction for state taxes paid; and that high income earners above a certain threshold (100k single, 200k joint) are subject to a phaseout, new for tax year 2025. The itemized deduction section of the MD tax booklet for reference.

The itemized deduction amount for Federal is exactly my full Itemized Deduction MINUS my State/Local Taxes, so it makes perfect sense now.
