I own a home in Kansas and rent it out, but I live in Florida. Do I need to file a state tax return for Kansas if my income was less than $10k?

Where in state tax code could I find an answer to this?

Yes, you would not need to file a KS return.  On a rental you most likely will owe no taxes to KS.
