I have to file non-resident state taxes. What does days spent in Maine for any purpose mean? What constitutes a day?

Days spent in Maine for any purpose means the number of days you were a resident of Maine, plus the number of days you worked in Maine while not a resident, plus any days you visited Maine for personal reasons while not a resident. If you were in Maine during any part of the day, I would count that.
