Yes. If you moved, your employer should have withheld state tax for California and Massachusetts.
TOTAL STATE is the total for all W-2s, so it includes California + Massachusetts.
Check each copy for your W-2s for a copy with CA as the state code in Box 15.
Make two state rows in TurboTax for Boxes 15-17. Then tap +Add another state to add a new row for your second state.
If you have anything in Boxes 18-20, tap +Add another locality to add another row for local tax with the second state.
for the copies of my W-2's there is not CA info listed anywhere for the state ID info or state locality, box 15 is empty and turbotax says I have to type in the state ID no, but its not even listed. What do I do then?
