Hello, does the solar tax credit get split over two years?

If the full credit is not used up in the first year reported on a tax return, then the remaining credit is carried forward to the next tax year and to all future tax years until it is all used up.

Thanks! I believe mine should carry over to next year. Total tax credit was 15k, only received 7800 on this last tax return (February 2024).

Do I have to apply for that credit again or fill out that specific form or should it be on file when I file in February?

How can I remove the American Opportunity Credit from my 1098-T form? Turbotax automatically is applying it. I still want to keep my Lifetime Learning Credit.
