My residence and employer is in Washington state. I worked online remotely from Hawaii a little over 2 months in 2023 but the work I did had nothing to do with Hawaii business. Do I need to file Hawaii State Tax return N-15?

Yes. HI says they will tax income earned for services performed in the state. So the income earned while being in HI is HI sourced income. You would need to file a HI nonresident return N-15. (see page 12)
In the "My Info" section you would indicate you lived in WA on 31 Dec and did not live in any other state. Still in "My Info" scroll down to "Other state income" and answer "Yes" you earned income in another state and select HI from the dropdown list. This will generate the HI nonresident return.
After entering your income and deductions in the federal interview you can work your HI return. There you will allocate only the income received while being physically in HI to HI.
Thank you for the clarification.
