Good afternoon. I was paid as a consultant and received a 1099-NEC. I had to pay Connecticut state sales & use tax on that income. Where do I deduct that in TurboTax.

The amount on the 1099-NEC included the Connecticut Sales & Use tax that I charged the corporation when submitting invoices.

You deduct the sale and use tax that you paid to the State as a business expense under Taxes and Licenses on Schedule C.

On Schedule C line 23 Taxes and Licenses.   Are you filling out schedule C for your consulting business?  Do you need help reporting it on schedule C?
