This looks like a bug. Turbotax automatically allocates capital gains between taxpayer and spouse but doesn't for dividends and interest. I went to forms and the appropriate worksheet and allocated it manually.

I am assuming you are filing a GA return and having trouble with the retirement income exclusion. My program carried over from the federal person it was assigned to over to the state. You need to review your federal entries.
When you are in the FORMS mode, you can end up voiding the accuracy guarantee with your entries. I do realize, your tax return should be correct and it is your return that must be filed.
I wonder if your program is up to date. You are right, the program should be handling it for you.
Thanks for the reply. When I open turbotax it says it's up to date. The specific page is the retirement income exclusion. When I click to the page it only allows me to allocate my capital gains between myself and my spouse. The worksheet view shows a possible allocation to capital gains + Interest + Dividends.
I see where if you are not able to identify which spouse in the federal, you are not given the option in the state for interest and dividends. I need your help.
I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:
TurboTax Online:
Sign into your online account.
Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen.
A drop-down will appear. Select Tools
On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.”
This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us.
Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.
TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:
Open your return.
Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent”
This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created. Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.
