Why did turbotax make me go thru the florida return steps if I didn't owe a return? Now it says my state return is ready to mail???

The Florida return is only for owners of Florida-located businesses and rental property with assets to report.

If you proceeded past the warning screens, try deleting the Florida return --> https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900608

If you are unable to delete the Florida return, you can simply ignore it (do not print and mail the return).
