You could try getting a free transcript of the return from the IRS, which would have your 2017 AGI on it, but now you are only a couple of days from the filing deadline and e-filing is going to shut down after October15. If you cannot get the transcript quickly enough, try using zero for the 2017 AGI. If that does not work, then you will have to print, sign and mail the 2018 return. (And just so you know, for $50 you can get an exact copy of your 2017 return from the IRS--maybe a good idea since you did not get one from the tax preparer).
You can get a free transcript from the IRS:
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
you shouldn't have much trouble with the IRS transcript since you can review it online and get the AGI to enter. you do not need a physical copy but can request a copy. .
