Filing state taxes - MFJ ( Federal) - Married but living in 2 different states Georgia and Texas

<P>Hello,</P><P>I live in Texas and my spouse lives in Georgia. We are planning to file MFJ for Federal taxes. Texas doesn't have state taxes. Should we file MFJ for Georgia state as well, even though I do not live there and I live in Texas 365 days? Is it allowed?</P>
