The only way to file a free state return with TurboTax is if you used Free Edition for the filing of the Federal return.    All of the other editions charge $49 for a state return.

If you used TurboTax Deluxe or higher (i.e., a paid edition), be aware that several states have free filing of the state return at the state tax website.   You'd have to check to see.    You should find a link to your state's DOR website here:
