You can verify if your Alabama State return has been e-filed by visiting the following TurboTax link Check Efile Status.

In addition, when you sign back into your Online account you can verify the status of your State return as well. 

1. Sign into your Online account.
2. Go to My TurboTax at the top left
3. Select My Tax Timeline

You should see your Alabama State status on the screen.

If your Alabama return was not filed or showing incomplete, Depending on when you filed your Federal tax return, many of the State forms were not yet finalized. So you would have filed your Federal return and then filed the state once the forms were available. 

In addition, E-filing your state return is only allowed once a federal return has been accepted/rejected. 

Please follow the steps to complete the state tax return in TurboTax Online:

1. Sign into your TurboTax Online account.
2. Go to My Account then select My Tax Timeline..
3. Scroll down to the SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO section, click Add a state (you are not actually adding a state, this will just take you back into your tax return..
4. Click on the State Taxes tab.
5. Click Continue to start or complete your state taxes.
6. Click Done with State.
7. Continue through the flow to review and file your state taxes.
8. You may want to review the State Taxes section to confirm the return is complete.
