I always filed California tax returns. I am now getting mandatory IRA distributions, am I entitled to some type of a credit on my California taxes, or a lower tax rate?

Do you live in California?   What type of credit or lower tax rate would you be looking for?  Can you explain your situation better?

When I got to the California part of TurboTax that went into the differences between the Federal and California's treatment of IRA distributions, it appeared to me as if California didn't tax IRA distributions at the normal California tax rate.  After reading an additional answer to my question, I must have misread the TurboTax question.  I now understand that IRA distributions in California are taxed at the regular California tax rate.  Thanks for your help.
