DC and MA Tax Form Question
I recently started a job for a company based in MA, but I reside in DC. Do I need to complete withholding forms for both states, and will taxes be withheld for both states from my paycheck?

DC and MA Tax Form Question
@laccy1990 - you only pay tax where you work and reside. Since you don't work or reside in MA, you don't pay taxes there.

DC and MA Tax Form Question
You need to hand in a MW507 to the MD employer ... and if they will not withhold DC taxes you may need to make quarterly estimated taxes so you don't get a penalty for owing too much on the return.
