Cost of state e-file

The Turbo Tax box said $19.99 for a state return, yet it costs me $24.99. why?

The fees increase in March each year. If you read the fine print it tells you the fees are subject to change. You can avoid that state e-filing fee if you print, sign and mail the state return instead of e-filing it.

Yes sorry. The prices always go up on March 1. The early discounted prices expired. The box says prices subject to change. You can print and mail state for free. Or next year try to file before March.
