I have put this question in several times in the last week. Here we go again!
Before I filed, I checked my return copy against last year and found an error on MIchigan form 4884. I went back and corrected the error, but when I check the form again it still is not corrected. I cannot e-file until this is corrected on the form. How do I get it corrected?

Can you provide additional information?
i have reported the same error back on 2/9 it is specifically section D calculations. the calculations are correct however the result should be entered on line 19 which then feeds to schedule 1 line 27. the verbiage is there are to what number to enter on line 19 but there is no way to force the system to allow me to enter the correct number nor does turbo tax enter the result automatically as it should this error made over $1,000 error in my refund which i printed the forms, used white out to correct the error and submitted the return by mail. i have called 4 times trying to gt this corrected so if you have pension income in the state of Michigan BEWARE - your return is wrong.
I use turbox tax to file 2025. I enter information as guided, but MI 4884 form has not appeared. I don't know how to correct it. I have two 1099R forms. I need to help to get form 4884 filled
You might want to make your own post since this thread from last year.
Here are some ideas:
From interview screen when entering the 1099R, you get to a screen asking :Where is your distribution from?",
Check your answer to make sure you picked the one that is right for you, compare against Michigan Instructions if needed to make sure you qualify.
From forms view, you can scroll down to see your pension worksheet and at bottom there is a quickzoom to 4884.
General tip that has worked for other things is to delete the 1099Rs and then reenter and see if the form generates, check that you have latest TT updates.
PS I'm just a fellow TT user trying to help:)!
I experienced a similar problem with my Michigan return. I entered my Pension1099-R information in the federal process, with distribution code "7." I then proceeded to do my MI state return. I submitted my returns but the MI Treasury dept informed me by mail that I was required to pay tax on my pension, which should be tax-free. I discovered TurboTax created my 4884 with an "A" distribution code, making my pension taxable. I tried deleting and re-entering my MI return, but got the same result. I have now printed an amended return and by hand changed the distribution code on 4884 to "7." I'm waiting for those results. THIS IS A FLAGRANT ERROR IN TURBOTAX FOR MICHIGAN AND COULD CAUSE IMPROPER EXPENSES FOR MANY OTHER USERS. BEWARE!!!

@User[phone number removed] Thank you for that information! Did you use TurboTax Desktop or Online? OPPS I see you used the TurboTax Online Tag.
