I use the PA State software to file my State Return. Previous years TurboTax always let me put the state info in and double check my State Return then in the final steps I could choose to not file the State Return along with the Federal. This year I got forced into submitting my State Return again via TurboTax whether I wanted to or not once I got part way through the process. This means I submitted my State Return a second time. This will cause me to not use TurboTax ever again unless I can figure out a way to shut this off toward the end of the process. I tried to go back to the State beginning and delete it but it was locked in. Anyone know how to do this with the new software?

Can I file my federal taxes now and skip my state ...
I used the free version for the first time this year and it wouldn't separate them at the end. I was never given the choice to "not submit" my state return. When I got to the end all I could do was submit both. I was too far along to delete the state return as it wouldn't allow me to delete. I have used the other paid versions in the past and always had the option to only submit the federal and submit the state at a later date but not in the free version. Not happy with this situation. Probably will never use TurboTax again after using it for 18 years I think.
