No, solar panels cannot be claimed on your Virginia state tax return as they do not a special solar credit. You can only claim them on your federal return if you live in the state of VA.

I filled Virginia taxes and was accepted on 2/8/2024. They have not pulled my payment and put banking stuff into the system Federal pulled there on Monday at 1 AM .
