California Refund Still Pending - Received Status = Unknown

I received a an email at 3:15 today saying my return had been rejected.  I followed the instructions for the fix and re-filed (I really only re-filed as I had nothing to update).  Just got an email saying my return had been accepted.  Took a little over 3 hours after re-filing.

Followed instructions this afternoon about my rejected return and refiled my return according to their instructions. .  I just received an  email from TurboTax that says  "Your 2020 California Personal return was accepted! "  I then went into TurboTax to check the status and sure enough, it was accepted.

Mission accomplished.

I just received an email from Turbotax saying my 2020 CA personal return was accepted.  🙂

So happy that you are posting that California has accepted your state returns !  Thank the Lord !  I'm going to give it at last until overnight and try it tomorrow.  All this drama has worn me out.   KEEP LETTING US KNOW WHETHER   CALIFORNIA HAS NOW ACCEPTED YOUR RETURN.  Keep the posts coming.......

Not sure who I'll use next year.  I'll see how my re-filing goes tomorrow.  I'm tuckered out just going through all this drama.   BUT -- I'm  thanking our wonderful Lord for all you guys' getting your California "Accepted" notices!!    Amen !   🙏

UPDATE:
Today (Feb 19) I opened up my Turbotax program (CD version) and updated the program.
It said my California return was rejected. I then followed the instructions. (TIP: I took screenprints of each screen along the way and saved the screen prints to a document so I could easily see what steps I took — there were at least 10 screens I had to go through).

First it took me to review my Federal return. (I found this odd because my Federal had already been Accepted and I actually already have received my Federal refund a few days ago). Nevertheless, I went through the Federal “Deductions” and “Credits” sections, but of course didn’t make any changes. I just clicked on “Continue”.

Once I went through all Federal screens, it took me to my California return. It had me check my California return for accuracy. Once it found NO ERRORS, it then took me through the various sections to identify myself with my California license and then to verify my bank routing information (all this information was already there, so I just reviewed it). The last screen came up to “submit” for e-filing. So, holding my breath (and of course saying a PRAYER), I clicked on “submit”

Lo and behold, it said “transmission successful” and said to wait 24-48 hours for California to “Accept”. I then received an email stating my transmission to California was successful. Still praying California actually accepts !! Will update once they do….

MESSAGE TO TURBOTAX: Because this has caused so many of us unnecessary stress, we collectively ask you to consider refunding us the $20 it cost us to file with the state of California (or other states that had to deal with this problematic issue). I went to the Franchise Tax Board website Franchise Tax Board Homepage | FTB.ca.gov signed into MyFTBaccount and my account shows my  2020 Return Status: Received.  If you don't have an account you can create one.

UPDATE:  So after I re-filed my Calif return, I went out for a walk.  I just needed to get outdoors !  Less than an hour later as I was walking, I got a text message stating my California return has been Accepted.  Praise God !

MESSAGE TO TURBOTAX: Because this has caused so many of us unnecessary stress, we respectfully and collectively ask you to refund us the $20 it cost us to file with the state of California (or other states that had to deal with this problematic issue). Refunding us $20 is in Turbotax’s best interest because many of us will be purchasing H&R Block next year! Is losing our business next year not worth it to you?? H&R Block and Tax Act had similar problems. They're no better. This year, I tried to use HRB but their form for entry of 1099s was incorrect, saying one box had to be less than another when that was impossible; plus I was entering straight from the 1099 that's been the same for years. Wouldn't let me complete the form, and thus kept me from moving forward in the income side. When I tried to phone and email, I had to leave a message and NEVER got a return call.  That's what drove me over to TTax

My CA-State Tax is pending from 2/13, and I did not receive any Email from TT yet.

I'm having this same issue. My CA return is pending and I have not received any e-mail from TurboTax about a rejection. Is there someone to call to have them reject it so it can be Re-Submitted?
