Hi,

In my W2 line14, I have something that says CA VSDI, i'm confused which category should I choose for this?

Is it CA SDI, CA VPDI Tax or something else?

Please help.

Thank you.

It is CA VPDI.

California employers or a majority of employees can apply to the EDD for approval to provide a plan for short-term disability insurance and family leave, known as a Voluntary Plan (VP), instead of State Disability Insurance (SDI) coverage. Both SDI and VP provide short-term wage replacement disability insurance and family leave benefits.

VSDI is Voluntary SDI - a private plan and is must offer the same benefits as CASDI but is not deductible.   Box 14 is for your information only and is only reported on your W-2 - nowhere else on your tax return.
