I am paper filing my state for 2023 (I applied for an extension)
Q1: I owed tax which I already paid electronically (before April 15). Which address should I mail the return to? https://www.ftb.ca.gov/help/contact/mailing-addresses.html
Q2: I over paid by about $100. How will it be refunded to me? Since I owed tax, I was not prompted to enter my direct deposit info.
Thanks!

Did you pay it with the extension? Did you enter it?
To enter the amount you paid with an extension (including state extension) go to
Federal Taxes (or Personal for desktop H&B version)
Deductions and Credits
Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
Other Income Taxes - Click the Start or Update button
Next page second section Payments with Extension
Either Visit All or Click Start or Update by the extension you paid
Pay attention to which year you are entering for a State Extension payment. A prior year state extension payment is also deductible on the federal return so be sure to enter it here.
To get the amount paid on a state extension to show up on the state return……
When you are done updating your federal return, you need to transfer the new federal information by going back through the state tab and the state return. Nothing will change until you transfer the fed info to the state again.
If you have a tax due say you will mail a check. Then they should match up your return with the payment.

Thanks for your message! Adding a bit more details --
I am filing my 2023 CA return. I owed 900 and but paid 1000 electronically in 2024 before April 15.
I need to mail my paper return now, with no check because I already paid for it.
My questions still hold: what address to use and how will the 100 get refunded..
