CA partial year resident, question on Schedule CA (540NR) line 1

Hi

I moved out of California at the end of November and my California-based company recognized my move, made me a remote employee with Nevada address and stopped withholding state tax.  I changed residence that time also (drivers license, registration etc. change).

When filling out the Schedule CA (540NR), Part 2, Section A, line 1a (W2 income) column E... it's supposed to be the "California Amount".  As I was a California resident for 11 of 12 months do I still put the value from W2 box 1 (wages)?  Or do I put the lower value from W2 box 16 (state wages)?  The amount in box 16 is lower which I assume is due to me working 11 out of 12 months.

Please let me know and thank you in advance.

Use the amount from box 16 of the W-2 since that is your wages as a California resident.
