I am an Arkansas resident and a beneficiary of an Arkansas trust. I receive a federal form K-1 and that is easy to enter. The federal information transfers to my Arkansas state return. However, I receive an Arkansas K-1FE from this trust, but the distribution amounts are different (less). I can find no way in TurboTax Deluxe (desktop version) to go in and reduce the amounts of my reported taxable distribution amounts (interest and dividends) for Arkansas in my state return. It's forcing me to over-report my Arkansas taxable income. Can anyone tell me how to fix this short of having to recreate my state return manually?

You most likely are going to have to adjust your Arkansas state return manually. TurboTax is going to presume that the figure entered in the federal side is accurate for your state return since you are a resident of Arkansas.

Thanks for your response. I’ve about concluded that I’m going to just change the numbers on the federal side to the AR amounts, print and mail my state return (which I usually do anyway) and then change it back to the federal numbers before e-filing federal.
Would you mind sharing how you were able to go back and print off the state papers to mail in? I'm having the same issue, but have already checked that I want to file federal and state together.
I did NOT indicate that I wanted to file together. So that may make a difference. I do not know how you can electronically file both federal and state electronically. Maybe if you can file them electronically but separately? But basically I had done my federal return using the information from the federal K-1. That transferred automatically to my Arkansas return and could not be edited. So I went back to the K-1 info on my federal return and entered instead the numbers from my state K-1. Then I printed my Arkansas return to file a paper return. Then I go back and changed my federal return back to the numbers from my federal K-1 so I can file my federal return electronically. Hope that helps.
