Amending Fed Return but State not filed yet

Need to amend my fed return, which was e-filed. But state return not sent by mail yet. Turbotax generated an amended state amount due, but have a greater refund from original state not yet filed. Any way to get a combined State return that I can file?

You need to change the state amended return to a state mail-in original return.  If you do this, then you will get the result you are looking for.  Since you never sent your original state return, you can print out this now revised state original return and mail it in instead to save a step.

I have a similar problem. Filed a Federal, then filed a federal amended. Now the download version isn't letting me do a state original - it's just generating a state amended. I need the original to submit once and final. How do I get the software to give me the original?
