Amended Return

When I got to the review section of my 2019 Missouri State tax return, TurboTax keeps prompting me for a reason I'm filing an amended return.  I'm NOT filing an amended return. It won't let me Efile because it thinks it's an amended return.

You should be able to undo the amended return. Go back to your state interview, there should be an option to removed the amendment.  The amend question usually appears right at the beginning or towards the end of the state interview (never in the middle). Correct any entries that have to do with an amended return

How do I cancel or undo an amended return in TurboTax Online?

If you started amending your tax return by accident and would like to cancel the amendment:

1. Open your return if it isn't already open.
2. In the left menu select Cancel Amend.
3. Select Yes, I want to cancel my amended return and Continue.

You will need to go through the interview section of your state return again.  There is a page that asks if you want to change a previously filed Missouri return. 

It sounds like this box may have been checked yes instead of no.
