On the form for Utah , TC-40W 2020, I have two W2's.  Only one printed on this from.  All of the numbers from the federal tax form came over correctly.

Is it important that boyh W2 be printed?

Thanks,

Andre Sanchez

Yes. If both W-2's had Utah state withholding, then you must have two entries on your TC-40W form.

If your total wages on your returns are correct, then you should have both W-2's listed on the TC-40W form in back of your Utah state return. In addition, if you did not enter your state withholding on one of your W-2 entries, then this W-2 would not be entered on TC-40W.

Please check your total income and state withholding on your return to ensure it is correct.

Hello, Lena.  I still can't get the Utah tax id number to clear our system.  It is 11 characters, including the three letters at the end of the tax id number.  When I run the review, it still gives me an error.  Are there any solutions yet?

If your W-2 shows 11 digits (including the WTH at the end), then you will need to contact your employer for their correct state identification number.

The Utah TC W40(1) payer ID must be a 14 character number. The first eleven characters are numeric and the last three are “WTH.”

    Example: 12345678901WTH.

Utah will NOT accept any other version for the Payer ID.

For additional information, please see TC-40W, Part 1.
