NJ Part year resident Refund

I wanted my NJ part year resident tax refund directly deposited, but Turbo Tax is saying this is not an option for Part year residents even though I am electroncally filing. I researched NJ information and see nothing preventing refund from a direct deposit. Is this a bug, or do I have to get a paper check refund

Let's try a couple things. If you are out of the country, NJ wants to mail you the check. Otherwise, direct deposit is preferred. If you are in the US:

    1. go back to your personal section and make sure your address is correct. Possibly delete and re-enter to make sure no ghost data is there.
    2. Go back to the end and see if you can choose direct deposit for your refund.
    3. If no, go back to your NJ state return and switch it to full year and right back to part-year. This might force the connection.
    4. Try again to use direct deposit.
    5. If you are using desktop, the next step is forms mode to get the refund.

Some little piece of data is stopping you.
