New York State Inflation Check Refund help...

Hello, I need help figuring out what exactly I need to do to complete this process... What are the steps I need to take if I have already filed my taxes?? New York State is filed/"ready to mail" status, and the Federal I was in the process of amending to try and add this inflation check but I have been increasingly confused on what the RIGHT WAY of doing this is? The different posts I've seen are for before filing but not for someone who has filed without knowing this information...

The federal has not issued a stance on the taxability of NY inflation refund. NY does not tax it.

It is your return so you can file an amended but if the IRS decides it isn't taxable, you may want to amend again. To help decide, look at the $ difference with and without the refund. If it is less than $25, not worth amending as the IRS does not want to deal with minimal amounts.

Thanks for the reply, but this doesn't help me... I need help with the process of inputting it into turbo tax STEP by STEP, because I've read varying methods of doing it but still don't have a clear method. Also, like I said, I filed before adding in the inflation check into my returns, so I have to amend and I need the steps on how to add the $200 with this in mind.
