Form is requiring an amount of social security collected on the CA state form line 5.  I did not collect social security benefits and the information in my federal filing indicates as such.  I am unable to efile because of the error message.

I am in the same boat.... It has been a problem since last week.

Here is solution found in another chat...

Delete the superfluous “0.” in the column before column A. There is a checkbox you can select somewhere that says something like ”don’t include this worksheet in the schedule”. Make sure it’s checked. Then the highlighted pink/grey cell in 5A goes away.

that solves the problem. Go thru the verifications again and you’ll be ready to file. I submitted last night after midnight and my return was accepted an hour later.

This was very helpful.  Took a little bit of poking around to convert the return into form format.  Then I had to click on the cell a few different ways until I was able to delete the form.  Then it worked! Turbo Tax previously said this error was fixed with the latest update.  Not true!  Doing this worked.
