Hi -
Related to PIN number issues, I have had my amended return rejected. I corrected those, but it was rejected again, because the "last year's AGI" number somehow went from the correct amount to zero. I would like to try again. But when I go through the file windows, , there is no longer an option to change the last year's AGI number... it simply appears as zero with no option to change.
How can I amend the last year's AGI in Turbo Tax. Again, I know what the number is, I just can't find a place to put it.

You don't use the AGI from your 2020 amended return, you need the AGI from your original 2020 return.
To revisit the 2020 AGI section in TurboTax Online:

To correct your 2020 AGI in TurboTax, open your return and then:
Hi -
Thanks. Following those instructions (desktop) simply does not result in the option to change last year's AGI.
Maybe the following will help:
If you don't have your 2020 AGI, you can select File by mail instead, to print your return as-is and mail it to the IRS.
Also, see if you can change it in forms mode:
to be more clear, to correct the value entered. the value entered appears as zero, but not in a changeable box. I need to enter the correct amount... there seems no way to do this, even when I start a new amended return, because the old amended return automatically populates. Even if I start a new return and say, "enter new information," I do not ultimately get the box for entering the last year's agi.

In the File section of the program on the screen labeled Review your Federal filing choices on You have provided your identifying information (AGI) for e-filing click on Edit
Have you tried e-filing your amended return with the zero?
I am not entirely sure. When the AGI from last year does show up (which is about 1/3 of the time I go through the file continue tree... it shows up as zero. But I have no idea if that was the value entered on the previous attempt to file. In addition, my turbo tax does open with the option to 'fix taxes.' I guess the usual home page with the 'let's amend' option, and when I click that I'm simply back in the amended return.
I am sorry you are having this trouble, I am not sure why you cannot correct the AGI. I don't work for TurboTax but if you cannot get your return e-filed you might want to contact TurboTax support for help.

Thanks. I'm actually on hold with them right now, my fourth attempt to get this resolved. I find this forum is actually faster and more knowledgeable... so thanks for being there anyway... We'll get it fixed.
